ミケル・バルセロ展（東京オペラシティ　アートギャラリー）　Miquel Barcelo (Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery)

 

寡聞にも、ミケル・バルセロのことはこれまで知らなかった。

この展覧会の説明文でも、スペインを代表するアーティストでありながら、これまで日本ではほとんど紹介されてこなかった”幻の画家”だとのこと。

ダイナミックなタッチで描かれた絵画、ユニークな絵付けがされた陶器、不思議なオブジェなど、スペインらしい雰囲気に溢れた作品が展示されていた。

スペインと言えば、ピカソやミロなどのアーティストの名前が思い浮かぶが、その二人を足して2で割ったような印象だ。

バルセロが公開で絵を描いている映像が映されていたが、その場の感情をそのままキャンバスに描いているように見える。

展示されていた作品の中では、バルセロが挿絵を描いた、ダンテの『神曲』の豪華本がとても印象に残った。

Even in the description of this exhibition, he is a representative artist of Spain, but he is a "phantom painter" who has hardly been introduced in Japan until now.

Works with a Spanish atmosphere, such as paintings drawn with a dynamic touch, uniquely painted pottery, and mysterious objects, were exhibited.

Speaking of Spain, the names of artists such as Picasso and Miro come to mind, but the impression is that they are added together and divided by two.

There was a video of Barcelo painting in public, but he seems to be drawing his emotions on the canvas as they are.

Among the works on display, the gorgeous book of Dante's Divine Comedy, illustrated by Barcelo, left a strong impression on me.

塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. 古美術逍遙（泉屋博古館東京）　Stroll through the Art of East Asia (Sen-Oku Hakukokan Museum)

  泉屋博古館東京のリニューアルオープンを記念する展覧会の第3弾は、中国や日本の書画や工芸品を展示するという内容。 雪舟や伊藤若冲の絵画も見応えがあったが、やはり中国絵画のコーナーが圧倒的だった。 この美術館で過去に何度か目にしてきた、八大山人の安晩帖。いつも頁ごとの展示となってしまう作品だが、今回展示されていたのは、第6図の鱖魚だった。 石濤の黄山八勝図冊。それほど大きくないページの中に、実に細かい筆使いで青みがかった山水画が描かれている。 その幻想的な世界観にしばし見惚れてしまい、時間を忘れてしまった。 日本の絵画からは、周文の筆によると伝わる山水図。こちらも中国の絵画に負けずに、なんとも言えない幽玄の雰囲気を、驚異的な筆使いで表現していて、見応え十分。 最後の第4展示室には、文房具と煎茶の道具が飾られて、合わせてその隣に張瑞図や許友の絵も展示されて、中国の文人世界を感じられる、素晴らしい空間になっていた。 The third exhibition to commemorate the reopening of Sen-Oku Hakukokan Tokyo will feature Chinese and Japanese calligraphy, paintings, and handicrafts. 走湯山と伊豆修験（國學院大学博物館）　Shugendo in the Izu Peninsula (Kokugakuin University Museum)

  現在の熱海の地にある伊豆山神社は、かつては走湯権現、伊豆権現と呼ばれて、修験道が盛んな東国有数の霊場だった。 『続日本紀』では、修験道の開祖である役行者は伊豆の地に流されたとされている。 そのせいか、伊豆地には数多くの修験道者が修行に励んでおり、走湯権現はそうした人々の信仰を集めていたという。 この展覧会では、伊豆地における修験道の足跡を辿る貴重な資料が展示されていた。 修験道者たちは、伊豆半島を曼荼羅に見立ててその山野を巡っていたという。 不意に、川端康成が『伊豆の踊子』で描いた伊豆の旅芸人のことを思い出した。 この展覧会から、伊豆という地に古代から現代まで続く壮大な時間の流れを感じることができた。 Izusan Shrine, located in present-day Atami, was once known as Hashiyu Gongen or Izu Gongen, and was one of the most sacred sites in the eastern part of Japan where Shugendo was popular.
