An exhibition that picks up seasonal bird-and-flower paintings and landscape paintings from the collection of the Okura Museum of Art.
Here are some of the works that left an impression on me.
A grape-shaped folding screen drawn in the 17th century that makes you feel the remnants of the golden era of the Momoyama period.
Sugai Baikan's cold light snow peak map, Sugai Baikan, is a painter who was recognized by Rai Sanyo and was active in Kyoto.
Xiaoxiang's eight views of Kano Tan'yū, which perfectly compactly contains the eight views of Xiaoxiang in one small picture.
And the book of Takamori Saigo who wrote the poem of plum blossoms, which I felt a little unexpected from the rugged image.
In addition, there were many works that gave a sense of the season, and it was a small but fulfilling exhibition.
