春日神霊の旅（金沢県立金沢文庫）　Journey of the Kasuga spirits (Kanagawa Prefecture Kanazawa Bunko Museum)

 

写真家の杉本博司、春日大社、興福寺、奈良国立博物館などから、春日大社にまつわる品々が出展されていた。

見応えがあった展示は、様々なバリエーションの春日社寺曼荼羅と春日鹿曼荼羅だった。

前者は春日大社の境内を曼荼羅に見立てたもの、後者は春日大社の象徴である鹿が描かれている。

いずれもその構図はほぼ同じだが、描かれた時代などによって微妙な違いを見せている。描いた絵師の違いや、それぞれの時代の春日大社へのイメージの違いなどが影響しているのかもしれない。

Items related to Kasuga Taisha were exhibited by photographers Hiroshi Sugimoto, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Kofukuji Temple, and Nara National Museum.

The spectacular exhibits were various variations of the Kasuga Shrine Temple Mandala and the Kasuga Deer Mandala.

The former resembles the precincts of Kasuga Taisha as a mandala, and the latter depicts a deer that is a symbol of Kasuga Taisha.

The composition of each is almost the same, but there are subtle differences depending on the time when they were drawn. The difference in the painters who drew it and the difference in the image of Kasuga Taisha in each era may have an effect.





春日大社に所縁の人々の展示もあったが、鎌倉時代に描かれた明恵上人の肖像と、その夢記に目を引かれた。

明恵上人はインドに渡り釈迦の足跡を辿りたいとずっと願っていたが、春日明神の神託によって思いとどまった、というエピソードが思い出される。

他には、国宝の春日権現記絵も印象深かった。過去の国宝展などで何度か目にしてきたが、春日神社にまつわる様々な展示品の中に置かれていたので、これまでとは少し違った趣が感じられた。

There was also an exhibition of people related to Kasuga Taisha, but I was impressive with the portrait of Myoe Shonin drawn in the Kamakura period and his dream.

Myoe Shonin has always wanted to follow in the footsteps of Buddha in India, but I remembers the episode that he was discouraged by the oracle of Kasuga no Kami.

Besides, Kasuga Gongen's painting, a national treasure, was also impressive. I've seen it several times at past national treasure exhibitions, but since it was placed in various exhibits related to Kasuga Shrine, I felt a slightly different taste.





春日大社の祭神は、東国の鹿島神宮と香取神宮から春日山に舞い降りた、という伝説が前々からとても気になっていた。

今回の展覧会で、春日大社にまつわる様々な展示品を目にしながら、その伝説についての様々な妄想を繰り広げることができた。

The legend that the deity of Kasuga Taisha descended from Kashima Jingu Shrine and Katori Jingu Shrine in the eastern country to Kasugayama has always been a concern.

At this exhibition, I was able to develop various delusions about the legend while seeing various exhibits related to Kasuga Taisha Shrine.

京都・智積院の名宝（サントリー美術館）　Treasures from the Chishakuin Temple in Kyoto (Suntory Museum of Art)

  京都の智積院は、以前一度訪れたことがある。 宝物館に意外と無造作に展示されていた長谷川等伯とその一門の障壁画と、美しい庭園の印象が強く記憶に残っている。 この展覧会で、再びその障壁画と再開することができた。 他にも弘法大師像、張即之が書いた金剛経、両界種子曼荼羅図などの多くの名宝が展示されていて、とても興味深く観るすることができた。 また、これまで知らなかった智積院のことをよく知ることができた。 智積院はもともとは高野山の麓の根来寺の境内にあった。しかし豊臣秀吉によって根来寺が滅ぼされてしまい、その後、徳川家康によって京都に現在の地を与えられたという。 成田山新勝寺や川崎大師は、この智積院の系列の寺であることもこの展覧会で初めて知った。 いつか、再び京都の智積院を訪れて、あの美しい庭園をまた見てみたいと思いながら会場を後にした。 I have visited Chishaku-in Temple in Kyoto once before. 塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. 都市デザイン横浜展（BankART KAIKO）　Urban Design Yokohama (BankART KAIKO)

  横浜市は、1971年に全国に先駆けて市役所に都市デザイン課を設置して、町づくりに取り組んできたという。 そうしたこれまでの50年の成果が、多くのパネル展示や模型によって紹介されていた。 それぞれの地域の地形や特徴、歴史などに基づいてグランドデザインを作り上げて、そのグランドデザインから様々な都市行政を行ってきたとのこと。 横浜といえば、歴史と先進性が上手に共存している魅力的な都市という印象を受けるが、その背景にはそうしたこれまでの取り組みがあったのだろう。 It is said that Hama City set up an urban design section at the city hall in 1971, ahead of the rest of the country, and has been working on town development.
