東京の猫たち（目黒区美術館）　Cats of Tokyo (Meguro Museum of Art, Tokyo)

 

東京の区立美術館の連携事業として開催された展覧会。それぞれの美術館から、猫にまつわる選りすぐりの作品が集結して、展示されていた。

朝倉文夫、藤田嗣治、熊谷守一、などの名前はすぐに思い浮かぶ。

他にも葛飾北斎、川端龍子、麻生三郎、駒井哲郎、山川菊二などの猫を描いた作品が展示されていた。

猫という動物は、犬と違って人間にはあまり馴染まないが、可愛い仕草を見せたり、野生的な側面を見せてくれたりする。

アーティストたちの描く猫の姿は様々で、それぞれの技法やタッチなどと相まって、色々な猫の姿を楽しむことができた。

東京というこの大都会には、色々な猫たちが暮らしているんだな。

撮影ができたのは稲垣知雄の版画作品だけ。元は抽象的な表現をしていたが、猫という存在に出会ってからは、ずっとその姿を描き続けていたという。

An exhibition held as a collaborative project of the Tokyo Ward Museum of Art. From each museum, selected works related to cats were gathered and exhibited.

Names such as Fumio Asakura, Tsuguharu Fujita, and Morikazu Kumagai come to mind immediately.

Other works depicting cats such as Hokusai Katsushika, Ryuko Kawabata, Saburo Aso, Tetsuro Komai, and Kikuji Yamakawa were exhibited.

Unlike dogs, cats are not very familiar to humans, but they show cute gestures and show wild aspects.

The appearances of cats drawn by the artists are various, and I was able to enjoy various appearances of cats in combination with each technique and touch.

Various cats live in this big city called Tokyo.

Only Tomoo Inagaki's prints could be photographed. He used to be an abstract expression, but he has been drawing it ever since he met the existence of a cat.

  京都の智積院は、以前一度訪れたことがある。 宝物館に意外と無造作に展示されていた長谷川等伯とその一門の障壁画と、美しい庭園の印象が強く記憶に残っている。 この展覧会で、再びその障壁画と再開することができた。 他にも弘法大師像、張即之が書いた金剛経、両界種子曼荼羅図などの多くの名宝が展示されていて、とても興味深く観るすることができた。 また、これまで知らなかった智積院のことをよく知ることができた。 智積院はもともとは高野山の麓の根来寺の境内にあった。しかし豊臣秀吉によって根来寺が滅ぼされてしまい、その後、徳川家康によって京都に現在の地を与えられたという。 成田山新勝寺や川崎大師は、この智積院の系列の寺であることもこの展覧会で初めて知った。 いつか、再び京都の智積院を訪れて、あの美しい庭園をまた見てみたいと思いながら会場を後にした。 I have visited Chishaku-in Temple in Kyoto once before. 塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. 都市デザイン横浜展（BankART KAIKO）　Urban Design Yokohama (BankART KAIKO)

  横浜市は、1971年に全国に先駆けて市役所に都市デザイン課を設置して、町づくりに取り組んできたという。 そうしたこれまでの50年の成果が、多くのパネル展示や模型によって紹介されていた。 それぞれの地域の地形や特徴、歴史などに基づいてグランドデザインを作り上げて、そのグランドデザインから様々な都市行政を行ってきたとのこと。 横浜といえば、歴史と先進性が上手に共存している魅力的な都市という印象を受けるが、その背景にはそうしたこれまでの取り組みがあったのだろう。 It is said that Hama City set up an urban design section at the city hall in 1971, ahead of the rest of the country, and has been working on town development.
