Chim↑Pom展：ハッピースプリング（森美術館）　Chim↑Pom: Happy Spring (Mori Art Museum)

 

作品を発表するたびに、何かと世間をざわつかせてきた、話題のアーティスト・コレクティブ、Chim↑Pomの展覧会。

これまでの主要な作品が、ユニークな構成の会場にたっぷりと展示されていた。

入り口は、まるで建設工事現場のような雰囲気で、中に入るといつもは広い会場が2階に分けられていたりと、期待を裏切らないユニークな内容の展覧会だった。

所々に、まだ展示のための作業が継続中のように道具が置かれていて、この展覧会が開催されている最中も、日々その姿は変化しているようだ。

『洛中洛外図屏風』や『一遍上人絵伝』などの絵巻物を見ると、当時の人々がどのように生活してかがよくわかる。

将来、Chim↑Pomの作品を見る人たちは、今日の人々がどのような社会的な問題を抱えていたのかを、これらの作品から窺い知ることができるのだろう。

The major works so far were fully exhibited in the venue with a unique composition.

The entrance was like a construction site, and when you entered the exhibition, the large venue was usually divided into two floors, which was a unique exhibition that did not disappoint.

In some places, tools are placed as if the work for the exhibition is still ongoing, and it seems that the appearance is changing every day even while this exhibition is being held.

If you look at picture scrolls such as "Rakuchu Rakugai Zukanfu" and "Ippen Shonin Eden", you can see how people at that time lived.

In the future, those who see Chim ↑ Pom's works will be able to see what kind of social problems people today have from these works.

京都・智積院の名宝（サントリー美術館）　Treasures from the Chishakuin Temple in Kyoto (Suntory Museum of Art)

  京都の智積院は、以前一度訪れたことがある。 宝物館に意外と無造作に展示されていた長谷川等伯とその一門の障壁画と、美しい庭園の印象が強く記憶に残っている。 この展覧会で、再びその障壁画と再開することができた。 他にも弘法大師像、張即之が書いた金剛経、両界種子曼荼羅図などの多くの名宝が展示されていて、とても興味深く観るすることができた。 また、これまで知らなかった智積院のことをよく知ることができた。 智積院はもともとは高野山の麓の根来寺の境内にあった。しかし豊臣秀吉によって根来寺が滅ぼされてしまい、その後、徳川家康によって京都に現在の地を与えられたという。 成田山新勝寺や川崎大師は、この智積院の系列の寺であることもこの展覧会で初めて知った。 いつか、再び京都の智積院を訪れて、あの美しい庭園をまた見てみたいと思いながら会場を後にした。 I have visited Chishaku-in Temple in Kyoto once before. 塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. ペンティ・サラマッティ展（何必館・京都現代美術館）　Pentti Sammallahti (Kahitsukan・Kyoto Museum of Contemporary Art)

  寡聞にもペンティ・サラマッティのことはこれまで知らなかった。 1950年生まれのフィンランドの写真家だという。 展示されていた写真は、フィンランドを初め、世界各地の風景写真が多かった。 スペイン、ポルトガル、ハンガリー、ロシア、エジプト、インドなどなど。日本の福島や京都を写した写真もあった。 それらの写真を見ていくうちに、不思議な感覚に囚われていることに気がついた。 それらの場所を一度も訪れていたことはないのに、何だかとても懐かしい気持ちになってきた。 海の写真からは、かつて訪れた海の風景が、山の写真からは、かつて訪れた山の風景のことを思い出していた。 サラマッティは、個別の風景の写真を撮りながら、同時にこの地球上にある風景の原型のようなものを撮影する特別な感覚を持っているようだ。 そうした体験は、これまでの写真家の作品では味わったことのない、衝撃的で特別な体験だった。 ペンティ・サラマッティという名前は、決して忘れることのできない名前となった。 I didn't know about Pentti Sammallahti until now.
