鎌倉幕府と執権政治（國學院大學博物館）　Kamakura Shogunate and Politics of Authority (Kokugakuin University Museum)

 

鎌倉時代は、京都の天皇と鎌倉の幕府が対立していたというイメージがあるが、実は幕府は天皇を支えて、貴族たちの領土などを保障し、守護との対立などを収めていたという。

この展覧会では、中世からの貴重な記録が残っているという久我家文書によって、そうした事例が紹介されていた。

貴族の荘園に対する守護職の不当行為を裁定する、初代執権の北条義時や2代目の北条泰時などの書状を目にすると、執権政治の成立当初の清廉なあり方がうかがえて、とても興味深かった。

またこの展覧会で、鳥羽天皇と美福門院の娘で、源平の戦いの中で源氏側を支援していたという八条院のことも紹介されていた。

八条院は、莫大な富を持っていたが、おおらかな性格で、兄であった後白河法皇をはじめとして多くの人に慕われていたという。

In this exhibition, such a case was introduced by the Kuga family document that valuable records from the Middle Ages remain.

It was very interesting to see the innocence of the first politics of Hojo, such as Hojo Yoshitoki and the second Hojo Yasutoki, who ruled the unfair acts of the guardianship against the aristocratic mansion.

The exhibition also introduced Hachijo-in, the daughter of Emperor Toba and Bifumon-in, who supported the Genpei side during the Battle of Genpei.

Hachijoin had a huge fortune, but she had a laid back personality and was loved by many people, including her brother, Emperor Go-Shirakawa.

京都・智積院の名宝（サントリー美術館）　Treasures from the Chishakuin Temple in Kyoto (Suntory Museum of Art)

  京都の智積院は、以前一度訪れたことがある。 宝物館に意外と無造作に展示されていた長谷川等伯とその一門の障壁画と、美しい庭園の印象が強く記憶に残っている。 この展覧会で、再びその障壁画と再開することができた。 他にも弘法大師像、張即之が書いた金剛経、両界種子曼荼羅図などの多くの名宝が展示されていて、とても興味深く観るすることができた。 また、これまで知らなかった智積院のことをよく知ることができた。 智積院はもともとは高野山の麓の根来寺の境内にあった。しかし豊臣秀吉によって根来寺が滅ぼされてしまい、その後、徳川家康によって京都に現在の地を与えられたという。 成田山新勝寺や川崎大師は、この智積院の系列の寺であることもこの展覧会で初めて知った。 いつか、再び京都の智積院を訪れて、あの美しい庭園をまた見てみたいと思いながら会場を後にした。 I have visited Chishaku-in Temple in Kyoto once before. 塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. 蒔絵コレクション（根津美術館）　simply Maki-e (Nezu Museum)

  根津美術館の蒔絵コレクションを展示した企画展。 蒔絵と言っても色々な工芸品があるが、今回は、蒔絵の硯箱、経箱、印籠、婚礼丁度品などが展示されていた。 やはり見所は、重要美術品が目白押しの煌びやかな硯箱の数々だった。 日本らしい花鳥風月や、古今和歌集に歌われた情景が、金粉などを使い驚異的なテクニックによって表現されていて、いつまでも見飽きないような小さな世界が、それぞれの蒔絵の硯箱に描かれていた。 花白河蒔絵硯箱は、足利義政が所有していたが、その後、江戸時代には松花堂昭乗の手にわたったという伝世の名品。 大阪の豪商が売りに出した際に、根津嘉一郎が高額で買取、根津の名前が一躍美術界に轟いたという。 印籠は江戸時代を代表する工芸品の一つだが、表面には蒔絵が描かれているものが多い。 小さなキャンバスに、ミニチュアールのような趣で様々なテーマが表現されていて、腰に下げられていたというそうした印籠が目に入ったら、当時の人々は思わずその美しさに見入ってしまっただろう。 A special exhibition of the Makie collection of the Nezu Museum.
