マリー・クワント展（Bunkamura ザ･ミュージアム）　Mary Quant (Bunkamura the Museum)

 

寡聞にもマリー・クワントのことは知らなかったが、写真を見て、その顔は見たことがあったことを思い出した。

てっきりモデルさんだと思っていたが、自らモデルをつとめて自らのファッションを世に広めていたようだ。

1960年代の文化を象徴するミニ・スカートは、マリー・クワントが生み出したものではないが、彼女はその独自のデザインで、あたかもそれが自分のデザインの一部であるかのようにしてしまった。

会場を巡りながら、自分が幼い頃にテレビに出演していたタレントのことを思い出した。彼女が着ていたような服が、会場にたくさん展示されていて、当時の時代の雰囲気が濃厚に感じられた。

フランスには、ポワレ、シャネル、ディオール、ローランサンなど正統派のデザイナーが多いが、イギリスを考えると、このクワントを初め、ウェストウッド、マックイーン、ポール・スミスなどの個性的なデザイナーの名前が思い浮かぶ。

そうしたお国柄の違いなども感じることができた。

As I toured the venue, I remembered a celebrity who had appeared on television when she was a little girl. A lot of the clothes that she wore were displayed at the venue, and I could feel the atmosphere of her time.

France has many orthodox designers such as Poiret, Chanel, Dior, and Laurencin, but when you think of England, the names of unique designers such as Quant, Westwood, McQueen, and Paul Smith come to mind. .

I was able to sense such differences in national character.

塩見允枝子＋フルクサス（ときの忘れもの）　Shiomi Mieko + FLUXUS (TOKI-NO-WASUREMONO)

  フルクサスのメンバーとして活動していた塩見允枝子と、フルクサスの他のメンバーとの作品が展示されていた。 日本からフルクサスから参加した人物といえば、オノ・ヨーコの知名度が圧倒的だ。 塩見允枝子の作品をまとめて目にするのはこれが初めてだったが、オノ・ヨーコに引けを取らないユニークな作品が多く、見応えがあった。 世界全体をステージとして見立てて、各地のメッセージを送ってパフォーマンスをイベントを行ってもらい、その結果を共有するというアイデアは、いかにもフルクサスらしい。 また、壁にずらりと並べられていた、星座を観察するための窓、という作品もユニークだった。60年代の別なテーマの作品を、2019年にテーマを変えてリメイクした作品。いまだに創造の意欲は衰えていないようだ。 フルクサスの他のメンバーでは、ナムジュン・パイク、ジョナス・メカス、ジョン・ケージらの作品が展示されていた。 フルクサスを始めたマチューナスの、デザイナーとしての才能が遺憾無く発揮された、フルクサス新聞が展示されていて、そのユニークな構成にしばらく見入ってしまった。 Works by Mieko Shiomi, who was active as a member of Fluxus, and other members of Fluxus were on display. 京都・智積院の名宝（サントリー美術館）　Treasures from the Chishakuin Temple in Kyoto (Suntory Museum of Art)

  京都の智積院は、以前一度訪れたことがある。 宝物館に意外と無造作に展示されていた長谷川等伯とその一門の障壁画と、美しい庭園の印象が強く記憶に残っている。 この展覧会で、再びその障壁画と再開することができた。 他にも弘法大師像、張即之が書いた金剛経、両界種子曼荼羅図などの多くの名宝が展示されていて、とても興味深く観るすることができた。 また、これまで知らなかった智積院のことをよく知ることができた。 智積院はもともとは高野山の麓の根来寺の境内にあった。しかし豊臣秀吉によって根来寺が滅ぼされてしまい、その後、徳川家康によって京都に現在の地を与えられたという。 成田山新勝寺や川崎大師は、この智積院の系列の寺であることもこの展覧会で初めて知った。 いつか、再び京都の智積院を訪れて、あの美しい庭園をまた見てみたいと思いながら会場を後にした。 I have visited Chishaku-in Temple in Kyoto once before. 古美術逍遙（泉屋博古館東京）　Stroll through the Art of East Asia (Sen-Oku Hakukokan Museum)

  泉屋博古館東京のリニューアルオープンを記念する展覧会の第3弾は、中国や日本の書画や工芸品を展示するという内容。 雪舟や伊藤若冲の絵画も見応えがあったが、やはり中国絵画のコーナーが圧倒的だった。 この美術館で過去に何度か目にしてきた、八大山人の安晩帖。いつも頁ごとの展示となってしまう作品だが、今回展示されていたのは、第6図の鱖魚だった。 石濤の黄山八勝図冊。それほど大きくないページの中に、実に細かい筆使いで青みがかった山水画が描かれている。 その幻想的な世界観にしばし見惚れてしまい、時間を忘れてしまった。 日本の絵画からは、周文の筆によると伝わる山水図。こちらも中国の絵画に負けずに、なんとも言えない幽玄の雰囲気を、驚異的な筆使いで表現していて、見応え十分。 最後の第4展示室には、文房具と煎茶の道具が飾られて、合わせてその隣に張瑞図や許友の絵も展示されて、中国の文人世界を感じられる、素晴らしい空間になっていた。 The third exhibition to commemorate the reopening of Sen-Oku Hakukokan Tokyo will feature Chinese and Japanese calligraphy, paintings, and handicrafts.
